Paul Maikoski, Showroom Manager: First, you should seek to develop a rapport with a designer at the showroom of your choice. Trust and confidence in your designer are critical to making the whole process work smoothly.

Typically, your cabinetry selections will begin with a few broad decisions involving how you utilize and function in your kitchen.  For many, the kitchen is more than a food storage and preparation center.  It is the social gathering place for family and friends.  As you work through the lifestyle and functionality questions with your designer, the shape and style of your new kitchen will begin to emerge. Our Cabinetry Design Planner will help you prepare for your initial showroom visit.

It’s very helpful to your designer for you to bring magazine pictures of styles, colors, and designs that have captured your imagination.  Keep in mind that there’s considerable variety in wood species characteristics so it’s very important to see actual wood samples before making your selections.
