Canyon Creek donates wood for toys made for local hospital
Canyon Creek provides cabinetry for a variety of community housing and service projects
- Canyon Creek Cabinet Company recently donated about 300 lbs. of assorted wood scrap to a local group of toymakers. As part of the annual gift-giving tradition to Seattle's Harborview Hospital, various pull toys and puzzles helped to make 61 hospitalized children have a merrier Christmas.
- In the summer of 2007, Canyon Creek sponsored students involved in the Washington Business Week program. The week-long program for high school students focuses on teamwork, leadership and setting goals for personal and business situations.
- Housing Hope, an eleven-unit apartment complex for low-income families
- Mobile Community Coordination Center, a revamped city bus that will provide a communications center for emergency responders
- Haven House, a Portland, OR shelter for homeless teenage mothers
- Cocoon House, which provides housing and services for up to eight homeless teens
- Canyon Creek donates cabinet doors to Gilda's Club for Seattle charity auction event.
- Seattle-area YWCA program that provides close to 8,000 meals a year
- 2007 - Major supporter of local food bank - Canyon Creek Cabinet Company Employees Contribute to Local Food Bank
- 2006 - Canyon Creek granted first KCMA Environmental Stewardship Program Certificate.
- 2006 - Canyon Creek partners with state agencies to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.
- 2006 - Canyon Creek Cabinet Company Presented With Patriot Certificate From Department of Defense
- 2006 - Entrepreneurial Spirit Award - presented by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce for having demonstrated a commitment to the local business community by investing the time and effort to share their business experiences with others.
- 2005 - SHARP program participant - three-year program sponsored by the Department of Labor and Industries that studies the influence of social, psychological, and workplace factors in repetitive motion injuries
- 2004 - Continuous Improvement in Resource Conservation Award - Association of Washington Business (AWB) and the Northwest Environmental Business Council (NEBC)
