Not only does Canyon Creek produce quality products, we also have a history of being an environmental leader in the wood products manufacturing industry.
"Green" land-use, manufacturing and construction strategies help reduce energy consumption, environmental impact and depletion of natural resources.
Since 1990, Canyon Creek has become increasingly green by focusing on the following areas:
- Energy/resource conservation
- Air quality
- Sustainable products
- Recycling
- Manufacturing waste management/reduction
We have been recognized by various agencies for our efforts and commitment:
- 2007 - Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Resource Center's "Gotcha! Caught in the P2 Act" award for notable pollution prevention (P2) achievements
- 2006: First cabinet company awarded the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) Environmental Stewardship Program certificate
- 2006: Partnered with the Washington State Department of Ecology and Washington Manufacturing Services in a pilot program designed to explore, measure and report the benefits of integrating environmental factors into a Lean Implementation Plan.
- 2004: Association of Washington Business and the Northwest Environmental Business Council "Continuous Improvement in Resource Conservation" Award
- 2002: Recognized by Snohomish County Public Utility District (PUD) for energy efficiency improvement and reduction of greenhouse gases in the following areas: Replacement of high-bay lights with fluorescent fixtures; improvements in our dust collection system, and upgrading to more efficient production
- 2001: Association of Washington Businesses Environmental Excellence for Air Quality Award
- 2001: Pacific Northwest International Section of the Air and Waste Management Association Environmental Achievement Award
- 2000: EPA Evergreen Award For Environmental Excellence
- 2000: Clark County Home Builders Association Excellence Award for Exceptional Contribution To Environmental Building
