Artisan offers three packages of distressing techniques to give your cabinetry the look of old world craftsmanship. Each design assumes a unique identity during the Artisan finishing process with hand-applied styling to simulate the natural appearance of aged wood. It provides a new level of cabinetry customization that will allow you to achieve a vintage look and feel.

The Artisan technique applies simulated cracks, worm holes, carved or worn edges, screw marks, chisel marks and dings to create the impression of naturally aged wood. Because these details are hand-applied, each cabinet will vary in design, lending a truly custom feel to your room. It's an authentic look found in old-style furnishings combined with the durability of a modern factory finish. Choose from our variety of specialty finish techniques to bring out the grain and enhance the hand-applied effects. The kitchen shown at left features our Artisan 3 package. |
To replicate the natural aging of wood, the following special effects are randomly placed before the stain and glaze are applied. Each effect will vary in size, shape, length and depth.
