Framed, Inset & Beaded Inset

Framed cabinetry features a face frame that is placed over the front of the cabinet box; the doors are then attached to this frame.

With Inset construction, the cabinet doors and drawer fronts are recessed (inset) and flush with the face frame.

Beaded Inset cabinetry has a small groove routed into the face frame, outlining the perimeter of the door.

Door & Drawer Front Overlays

Traditional overlay doors and drawer fronts overlay the face frame 1/2" on each side, leaving a 1" reveal on the top, bottom and sides of the frame.

Modified overlay doors and drawer fronts are larger, so they show 1" of the face frame at the top and bottom and just 1/4" of the frame on the sides.

Inset doors and drawer fronts are set into the frame, so the entire face frame is visible. The gap between the doors and fronts and the face frame is 3/32" on all sides.

Door Edge Details

To further customize your design, we offer a number of choices in edge detail, or profile, of the door and drawer fronts. Some options eliminate the need for cabinet knobs and pulls, while others add a smooth radius or subtle notch to the outer edge of the door or drawer front. Take a look at all the styles available for Cornerstone.

Hinge Options

One-piece, self closing Exposed hinges on Traditional overlay doors are semi-concealed by the cabinet door.

Concealed hinges are available for both Traditional and Modified overlay doors. One-piece hinges are fully adjustable.

The inMotion soft-close device is available for Traditional and Modified overlays with concealed hinges. (Side-hinged doors only.)

Framed Construction

Drawer boxes are either 1/2" plywood dovetail or 5/8" hardwood dovetail construction.

Choose from six drawer guide options: under mount 3/4 extension, side mount full-extension in three colors or under mount full-extension (available with the inMotion "self-close" system).

Hinges are based on door overlay and include concealed self-closing; semi-concealed exposed self-closing and (for Inset) finial ball hinges in four colors.

Adjustable shelves are 3/4" thick full-depth particleboard or plywood, and adjust in 1-1/4" increments.

Modified Overlay Image

Our cabinet box is constructed of 1/2" thick particleboard or plywood. Dadoed sides lock in the top, bottom and back panels for stability.

A number of end panel options are available either loose or installed, including finished furniture ends and active end doors. The standard exterior is unfinished.

Interior options are based on material and include white vinyl, wood-grain vinyl or natural wood veneer. The interior may also be finished to match the exterior.

The solid hardwood face frame features screw joinery and is glued for durability.
