Your bathroom should be looked at as your own personal retreat right? A private sanctuary where you leave all your worries behind and relax and rejuvenate. So as you get ready to remodel, here are a few things to consider that will help make sure you end of up with the perfect bathroom oasis.
1. Vanity styles
This year, vanities went beyond cabinets, and are resembling pieces of furniture that feature legs and/or open shelves to display towels or other decorative items. Sleek, flat front cabinets are also seeing a resurgence in popularity…creating a more modern bathroom that is also easier to clean (bonus!).
2. Neutral Styles with a hint of nature
As you know neutral styles are still very popular…from white to grey, these are still “go to” color combinations in bathrooms. However, we are seeing more and more natural elements come into play…which works nicely with the idea that your bathroom should feel relaxing. From color (think pops of blues and greens), to plants, to natural materials such as bamboo, wood (or wood-like products such as tile floors)…bringing the outside in is definitely popular.
3. Heated floors & appliances
If you really want to get serious about taking your bathroom game up a notch, consider adding heated floors. Gone are the days of stepping out of the shower onto a cold tile floor…you’ll now be greeted with a soothing warmth. Technology in the bath is also trending right now, which means more small appliances such as warming drawers for towels and linens, coffee stations, and small refrigerators for beverages and medicine or organic facial products are being worked into designs. Wireless music systems, TVs in mirrors, and built in hair dryers are also becoming more popular.
