Three great breakfasts on the go

Three great breakfasts on the go

If only every meal gave us enough time to properly enjoy our kitchen design! Unfortunately, for the average busy parent or worker, there’s hardly enough time on a weekday to gulp down a glass of orange juice or coffee before it’s time to head out the door to work or run errands. Breakfast on the go is easy to do poorly, especially with all the fast food drive-thrus and donut joints. Consider how these three great breakfasts on the go can speed up your routine – and remember, super-organized kitchen cabinets help expedite the process!

1. Peanut butter and banana on an English muffin
While it may have been done to death on bread, this classic on a crispy English muffin is divine. Don’t forget to add a dab of honey.

2. Homemade trail mix
Dried cranberries, almonds, walnuts and maybe a little toasted granola is great to munch on as you drive. Why not throw a few semi-sweet chocolate chips in there, too? (You deserve it!)

3. Breakfast pizza
The folks at Real Simple magazine definitely live up to the name with this quick, easy and healthy take on the old breakfast pizza classic. Crusty bread, ricotta, tomato – what’s not to love?
