As a semi-custom cabinet manufacturer, we offer a lot of options to our distributors and their customers. There are a number of questions we are commonly asked about our products, our manufacturing processes, and our overall business philosophy. You’ll find answers to many of those questions here, along with links to even more in-depth information.

What is Framed construction?

If you were to remove the doors and drawers from one of our Cornerstone framed cabinets, you would see a panel across the front that has openings for the doors and a cutout for the drawer. That panel is the face frame, and because it is attached to the cabinet box, it adds stability to the cabinet. The door hinges are attached to this frame, and a bit of the frame will show around the closed doors and drawers. Visit the Construction page to see how Cornerstone cabinets are built.

Inset cabinets also have this face frame; however the doors and drawer fronts are sized a little bit smaller to fit snugly within the openings. Beaded inset cabinets include a routed groove that outlines the openings in the frame.

Cornerstone is a highly customizable cabinet line, with unlimited stain and paint colors, multiple finish enhancements, 12 species of woods plus Thermofoil, and over 100 door style options.

What about Frameless cabinets?

Frameless cabinets are built without a face frame, so the doors attach directly to the cabinet box. Frameless cabinets are also called “full access,” since the entire space is open and there is no frame to narrow the cabinet opening.

We have two frameless lines: Millennia and Katana. Millennia, our custom line, has a wide range of cabinet options, over 100 door style options, multiple finish enhancements and 17 wood species, as well as high gloss foils, Greenlam, TSS, Thermofoil and Laminate. (Construction info.)

Katana, our value line, features a carefully selected cabinet offering with 24 door styles in five wood species, plus TSS and Thermofoil. (Construction details.)

What materials are available?

While options vary between lines, we currently offer 17 standard wood species, Exotic veneers, Thermofoil, Laminate, Greenlam (solids, patterns and woods), TSS, HG Foil (wood grains and solids), Aluminum, and Stainless Steel. Closet components are available in 5 woods or one of 7 melamines.

Visit Styles & Finishes to see all of our standard offerings. Looking for something different? We can source many other woods and alternative materials through our Special Product Request program.

Do you have standard lead times?

Our products carry a 4-week lead-time, one of the shortest available for the level of customization we offer.  Some items, such as wall beds, exotic wood veneers, metal doors, and specialty finishes, will take 5–6 weeks–still shorter than most cabinet brands.

How do I adjust cabinet doors & drawers?

Doors: adjust the door height and relation to the cabinetry when our standard concealed hinges are in place.
